Roni Kaufmann (1980), born and raised in Tel Aviv, Israel. Roni Kaufmann is an artist and a professional photographer. Kaufmann received her B.Ed.F.A from 'Hamidrasha' School of Art in Israel (2010).
Kaufmann's art projects take a close look at people's interpretations of different representations. From an initial impression through their evolution by examination, she examines the viewer’s experience, undermining it and thus creating a new one.
Whether staged or documentary, portraiture or still life, time is a key element in Kaufmann’s work. From work method, through subject matter and display, her work calls for a long observation.
Kaufmann has participated in several group exhibitions in Israel, including Haifa Museum of Art (2019), the International Photography Festival - PHOTO IS:REAL (2018), Indie Photography Group Gallery (2017) and ARTPORT Art Book Fair (2017, 2016) In 2016 she won 1st place for the portrait category of LG YPHOTO Competition.
Alongside her art and independent photography work, Kaufmann is working as a photography teacher at the TA Museum of Art.
